eBay
overview
Within my first weeks on the eBay Live team, I designed and executed a rapid research sprint program (4 iterative studies across 8 weeks, N=29 in-depth interviews) to guide the launch of the Live Hub V2. Investigating key usability dimensions—including navigation, discoverability via event tiles, personalization, and Live-first user behaviors—I provided real-time evaluative feedback for pre-launch iterations while building the product's foundational research framework.

00. Goal
How can we design the Live Hub to allow buyers to easily discover the right livestreams to join?
01. Understand
02. Analysis
By aggregating and cross-analyzing individual sorts across sessions, I mapped recurring mental models to identify consensus clusters. This analysis directly informed our redesign of the Live Hub’s information architecture, ensuring our navigation and event tile layouts aligned with how users naturally look for and evaluate live content.
Due to the rapid turnaround time of each sprint, I utilized AI-assisted qualitative analysis tools (NotebookLM) to streamline synthesis. By grounding raw interview transcripts as verified sources, I was able to cross-reference participant feedback, query behavioral patterns, and rapidly surface core thematic insights without losing connection to verbatim user quotes. This workflow significantly reduced time-to-insight while maintaining strict data integrity and grounding across all 29 interviews.
